New Baby Blog

Yes, so it's true. We are pregnant! Well, I am pregnant and Chris is...nervous! Hah. We will be keeping this blog private until it's public news and then we will be sharing with everyone so chances are you are reading this weeks after I am writing it.

I am hoping to keep a record of things that happen, our reactions to Dr's visits, little things that happen during Chris's deployments, our changing ideas about names, and things like that.

I figured I would start out with some general Q & A:

Q. Was this planned?
A. Yes. Although, we expected it to take a little longer than , um....the first time we really tried!

Q. When are you due?
A. New Years Eve. Yes, my birthday. Poor kiddo!

Q. Is it a boy or girl? When do you find out?
A. We will find out when, as Chris's dad says, "It drops". We aren't finding out ahead of time, much to my chagrin. Hah. Chris wants to be surprised, so we are going all gender neutral and being surprised. Zoe thinks it's a boy as of right now, and I am just not sure I have a solid feeling yet, nor do I really have a preference. I know everyone says that but a boy would be different, but having all these girls around is just fun.

Q. What does Zoe think about it?
A. Zoe is enthralled and thrilled. She yells into my belly button and yells at me to feed the baby. She can't wait to be the big siste.

Q. How did Chris react?
A. He didn't believe me. I am not sure if he still believes me, although I think the sonogram picture helped. He is thrilled, and worried, and all those things!

Q. Where will you have the baby?
A. I will be delivering at Brandon Hospital, a fact I am not exactly thrilled about. But c'est la vie, I have good doctors.

Q. What names do you like?
A. We like Alexa for a girl, Alexander for a boy.

Alright, that's a lot of info for now. Until next time!
